The new version includes these features:
NEW END LENGTH FILTER for BENDER CORRECTION
The END LENGTH FILTER feature is interesting because it allows you to adjust what Supravision called the "tag" lengths on A-end or B-end during correction without changing the cut length of the material. I worked with experienced customers to be sure our implementation was an improved over the older Supravision feature. For example, when you shift some material from B-End to A-End, they asked me to show a preview of the new CORRECTION value for both ends. I added that and decided to allow you to even adjust the tag lengths by also adjusting the actual CORRECTION values at either end. Whenever you adjust any of the end TAG or end CORRECTION (adjustment) values in the End Length Filter, all the other lengths adjust automatically. I'm very happy with how this End Length Filter turned out.
IMPORTANT SPLIT BEND MATH ENGINE FIX
If you import or measure bends that are 180-degrees or greater, then PLEASE BE SURE UPDATE TO THIS VERSION. I found and fixed a problem with that affects the accuracy of the split bend import and measure by up to 0.020 inches (or 0.5 mm). That's far too much, in my opinion, for most applications. Now 180-degree models import and measure with super-precise accuracy.
AUTODESK INVENTOR IMPORTER
We had an Autodesk Inventor importer program that could import Inventor XYZ files. I decided to embed that logic in VTube-STEP without charging more for VTube-STEP. It is now very easy to import an Inventor file and then send the data to a bender in a few seconds.
